Hello Blog-land!

I am not too sure about where I have been...

maybe chasing around sweet little girls,

potty training a child & a puppy, doing laundry...umm

Yah pretty sure that was where I have been along with a lot of other places, people & things!

For Valentines Day the Hubby Surprised me with my DREAM puppy!

I had been obsessing with Cocker Spaniels for a few months & the Hubs repeatedly said NO,NO,NO!

But along came Valentines Day and we were in the car on our way to pick up our new

Family member!

She is a perfect addition to our household!

Our other dog, Payge is so much happier now that she has a companion!

Here is my Sweet Gabby Girl! I just LOVE her to pieces!

Little miss is getting so big!

She is turning into a little lady =)

She makes me laugh all of the time!

A few days ago she came up to me out of the blue with her hand out and asked

"Can Meee have 24 dowwlers?"

I have no clue where that came from.

She has been going to Dance and Cheer and playing with her friend Bre a lot!

Wow how could I forget!!!

We went to the Beach for Spring Break!!!

It was a BLAST!

Aubrey LOVED it and still talks about it.

Aub had her two year check up yesterday...

Wow time is going wayyy too fast!

She is so independent and knows what she wants when she wants it =)

She is obsessed with chocolate milk & cheese...

The Doc had to cut us off of 4-5 sippys of choc. milk to only two!

Please give us strength!!!

She is now in the

25% in Weight

60% in Height

( she is almost 3' so when they are two you can multiply their height by 2 and that will be within an 1" of how tall they will be in adulthood)

80% in Head Cir.

We have a Happy Healthy Sweet little girl!

She is very very loving and will tell you that she "Loves you" & "I miss you"

She loves to give hugs and kisses.

She will ask "Momma, Hold you"

-meaning please hold me-

My stepmom recently brought my barbies,barbie house and dolls from when I was little.

Aubrey has taken them all in and LOVES them!

It is getting close to Valentines Day & I am searching for fun V-Day activities for us to do!

Aubrey's Dance/Cheer class is going to have a Valentines day party and I am super excited!

I LOVE preparing activities and gifts for special occasions!

Well I better get to work and do some Valentines Research!

Ohh How I have Missed you Blog-land!

I am so ashamed of myself...

I haven't updated in so long =(

There has been plenty going on...It just seems that I do not have to time to write it all down.

Aubrey is now 2 going on 16!

She is full of conversation and energy!

She LOVES to perform!

She will stand in the middle of the room and make up a song while dancing or "shaking her booty" as she says =)

For Aubs Birthday she got a room redo!

It very much matches her personality. =)

We are having a HARD time keeping her in her own bed!

She naps for hours during the day in her bed but night is a different story!

This child has never ever slept with us, not even as a little baby!

But for some strange reason now that she is in a toddler bed she feels that she has free range of the house at night and tip-toes right into our bedroom!

Daddy gives in and lets her stay...

Well I guess we will have to figure it out over time...

Umm lets see what else you have missed...

Aubrey is in Dance class and just recently started Cheer as well!

She LOVE LOVE LOVES going to Dance and cheer.

She has made some good friends and Momma has too!

Before Christmas there is a Christmas Parade and the Dance Studio decided to make a float.We worked REALLY hard and it payed off because we got 1st Place!!!

My bottom has been glued to my work table (aka dining room table) chair.

Literally just peeled myself up =)

I have been working really really hard on Halloween Buckets!

This is Aubs Bucket!

She loved it and it was great to fill up with candy!

I think I had a total of 37 Buckets to make.

I LOVED making them!

I made everyone of them different for each child.

I also got to the privilege to make candy buckets for dance class!

This Cowgirl one was really fun to make!

It was a nice break from the halloween ones!

Like all of these...

Now I am starting on Bows! I got a lot of new ribbon last week & I can't wait to make some fun bows!

The buckets will be put up until Easter, unless anyone needs one for a birthday or Christmas!

My Little Cheerleader

Aubrey is now 21 Months old!!!

That means in three months I will have a 2 year old!

Ahhh!

Isn't she so sweet though =)

In the last couple of weeks she has been putting all of her words together and making sentences.

It melts my heart.

We have been in Full Football Mode and have spent most of our time at the football field or a Football watch party.

Mifi & Grumpy traveled with us to Lonoke for the game!

Aubrey is so great at cheering on her Dada's team!

She LOVES going to watch "Football" as she calls it.

She also likes playing with all of the kiddos at the game.

Especially Noah...She chases him down every time yelling "NOooahh"!

We got to go to a UCA (Dada's College team) football game with Dada!

It was a blast!

We had the best seats and I Loved the fact that Daddy got to see how Aubrey operates at a Football game...WILD!

She looked sooo sweet in her Cheerleading Outfit,no matter how wild she was. =)

The next weekend we got to Call the Hogs!

If you know my Hubby...that is a No,NO!

He is a Full UCA Supporter and refuses to be a Hog Fan...

Boo

But My Momma is a HUGE fan so she got Aub a Razorback Cheerleading Outfit & shoes.

She was ADORABLE!

So Daddy FINALLY said we could support both teams after he saw how cute Aub was in her Uniform!

Yay!!!

We have another Hog game this weekend can't wait!

We are still doing well in Dance Class

It seems to get better every week.

Aubrey is really working on her listening skills =)

Her favorite part of "Class" as she says is tumbling!

She LOVES it!

This is Aub telling me "No,NO Momma" while she was on the phone with Mifi.

We have had a very moody little girl for the last couple of weeks...

I think we have teeth coming in.

She has spent lots of time in Time Out

for hitting and telling Momma No,No!

She will hit and say " I srry Momma" & pat me.

It is sweet but I have to remember that I am here to teach her right from wrong...so to Time out she goes.

We are still working on Potty Training

She is very moody as I said before...so it rolls over to potty training.

We are still working on that...

Halloween is Close & we are getting Very excited!!!

I can't wait for it to come in.

She will be the cutest Bumble Bee ever!

Frugal ~Fall~ Decorating

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!

So So So Love this time of the year!

After Halloween last year I began collecting decorations for this year...

the frugal way...

Garage Selling & Clearance isles =)

The picture above has a great candle holder with a fall garland woven through it. I bought it for $7 at church yard sale!

This is set up in my kitchen.

I found those too Halloween frames at a yard sale for $1 a piece.

I placed pictures of Aub last year at halloween in them and they are Awesome!

I found the glass pumpkin jar at the consignment store for $3

The cute cute cute votive holders were found for only .50 a piece!!! Love em!

I Love the fun Jack o lantern candle to the right...I paid .50 at a garage sell for him.

Now it is getting even more fun as you move on into the kitchen =)

The Glass Trick or Treat Bowl made by Tag was purchased at a yard sale for only $1!!!

The plastic brewing pot in the back is Hallmark brand that sings also for only a $1!

The basket to the right was bought full of great floating candles for $5.

I had to add a little halloween flair to the bathroom!

I bought the halloween soap dispenser at Bath & Body works 2 for $12.

The soap smells so yummy!

The picture frame to the right was made last year around this time.

These great Fabric Pumpkins have been floating all around blog land and I just had to try them out!

I have seen a lot cuter ones but I was very proud of myself for attempting and them turning out decent =)

I found this great leaf dish at a yard sale for only $2!

I thought it would be perfect for my Bath & Body Works "Leaves" Candle to rest on!

Last year at the end of Halloween I bought tons of Clearance at Walmart!

I got a lot of table cloths, costumes, ribbons, wall decor, and cupcake holders for only .15 cents a piece!!!

Great bargain! =)

Lastly, I Love pumpkins filled baskets!!!

I found these pumpkins on clearance last year for .25 a piece! LOVE em!

The basket was a $1 at a garage sale!

So now that I am a "Working Woman"

I get to spend the day with two sweet little girls and have play dates!

...a stay at home mommas dream!

Anyways...what I was saying is that I can't really get out and search for goodies the way I used to.

But Surprisingly, good deals find me no matter how often I go looking!

Filling that great basket is some beautiful fabric! I got about 3 1/2 yards for only

"March Momma, March"

So she isn't 21 Months yet but I had to update before I forget everything. =)

My Sweet Little one has started taking Dance/Tap/Ballet & Tumbling!

The first few classes were very interesting.

She didn't really know what she was there for and ran a little crazy =)

We attended her third class last night and she did Great!

Her Auntie Em & Trav came to watch too.

She payed attention more than before.

She did a back bend walk over with help of course!

She is usually only concerned with the fact that she knows there are suckers in the studio. And she wants one as soon as she gets there!

Luckily, Miss Alexis hid them before Class.

And Aub was so excited to see the Suckers at the end of class!

She also learned how to March to the "Aunts Go Marching" Song.

So, When we got home it was

"March Momma, March

I LOVE the Dance Class! We are so excited to see all the new things she will learn.

We just recently started letting Aub sleep with a blanket in her crib.

We never got in the habit of doing it when she was a baby because the risk of SIDS.

So randomly one day we thought she was old enough to sleep with a blankie. =)

Her face LIT up when I covered her with the blanket for the first time.

She was so excited!

So now at nap and bed time she politely asks

"bank pees"

So sweet =)

As most of you know the Hubs is a Football Coach.

A very Handsome one at that =)

So we spend a lot of time at the field house & school.

One day we walk into the field house and Aub sees one of the coaches and says

"Hi, Coach!"

Probably one of the cutest sweetest things ever!

So ever since then when she sees any of the coaches she will wave and say

"Hi, coach!" in the sweetest voice.

She has really been showing out lately and doing the cutest sweetest things!

Along with a lot of naughty things too... but hey she is only 20 months.

She is learning =)

The other morning I was drinking my coffee.

She knows that it is hot and she shouldn't touch.

So she was sitting beside me watching tv, I took a drink and gave her a kiss.

She quickly pulled away and said

"Hot Momma"

then she puckered her lips and gently blew on my mouth as if to cool it off.

I laughed so hard.

All I could think was wow, I love this child more than words could ever explain!

She has also become a Parrot...

she will repeat anything and eVERything!

The good bad and ugly...

So I kindly have to remind people that come over to watch the words...

Another new thing is that she calls me

"Mommy"

It has always been "Momma"

and suddenly it is "Mommy"

umm Dunno?

She continues to LOVE her Baby & Shoes.

She is actually feeding her baby a bottle right now =)

Anyhoo I hear the laundry calling my name!

Early last week I did my daily Craigslist searching and found two fantastic pieces!

I was so excited and agreed to pick up the things on the following weekend.

On Friday I headed out of town and attended a good friend's evening yard sale.

My mom came with me and we got some REALLY good deals!

The Following Morning we headed out to pick up my Craigslist finds & found some yard sales on the way!

   I got the two trucks for only
   .50 a piece
   These will be GREAT for play-dates!
   The Ipod sing along radio with microphone
   was $5.00
   Aub LOVES to sing along with the radio.
   The nice large basket was only (I am a sucker for baskets...)
   $3.00

I got two Pregnancy/Mother books for

.50 a piece

These will make great gifts for any mother to be.

And a HUGE nice Thick book of Art for ONLY

$1.00!!!

And the BEAUTY everything is laying in was one of my Favorite finds of the day!

It is a jewelry display table with a lock & key!

I have a good friend that makes some fabulous jewelry and I have been begging her to let me sell it in my booth. Well I finally found a great way to display it!

The piece is a little beat up and will need work but I only paid

Can't complain! I am really excited to give it a face-lift and make it wonderful!

It came from a Smoke/Pet Free home and is Stain Resistant!

~Latest Thrifty Finds~

I absolutely LOVE any kind of Thrift Shopping!

I look in the paper, go to the consignment shops, thrift stores, garage sales, & Craigslist.

These are some of my latest finds!

I recently started watching a little girl & thought taking the girls on walks would be a great thing to do during the day.

My mom found this beauty in the paper for $35!!!

What a deal!

It retails for over $150.

It is in Excellent condition and works great.

We have taken a walk every day since I have had it!

I recently became a very proud aunt!

The Little man needed a bouncer chair.

I have kept my eye out for one.

Then finally I went to the consignment shop last Sat. and found this one for 1/2 off!

Who could resist?

Especially since it was half off $12!

So I paid $6.

Great condition and even vibrates.

The soft book in the chair was only .75!

It will be great for the new baby to play with.

I have a great plan for this side table!

I found it at a yard sale for $12!

It is solid wood and in great condition.

I am planning on painting it to match Aubs new room redo.

I want to paint the top with chalkboard paint.

One day soon I will get to it =)

The wine rack on the top is great!

And I only paid $3 for it!

I am planning on painting it and keeping towels in it for the bathroom!

A Black & White Redo

BLACK & WHITE

I received a phone call from my mom telling me she found a table with 4 chairs at a yard sale for $20.

I was so excited! I though wow 20 bucks!

Woo Hoo!

Then she brought it to my house...

uhh..."mom, no wonder it was $20"

Everything about it was hideous.

It was hot and I was being negative.

So here are the chairs.

They had 3 layers of fabric, the last being a plastic cover.

The pads were nasty and stained.

I wanted to give up on it.

but It kept hanging around in my garage...

for about 2 months actually =)

Finally one day I thought I might as well see what I can do with it.

I bought some spray paint and went to town on the top.

Then got bored again with it.

It stayed like this for a week.

Then finally I got some motivation and help from the Hubby and We decided to get it done!

Thanks to the Hubby for the Great Help!!!

The chairs turned out to be my Favorite!

I am really Loving the Black and white right now!

Finally All Done!!!

I set it up in my Booth and hopefully It will sell very soon!

I am so happy with how it turned out.

Miss Aubrey got a new cousin this month! She still isn't too sure what to think of him. She walks up to him and as she is waving says "hi trisstan"

We are in Love with the new addition to the Family.

Little Miss is now 20 Months old!

I still can't believe how fast she grows!

She still wants to read her "ABC Book" every night.

She can also count to 10 with help!

She Says Thank you all of the time.

I am so blessed to have such a sweet polite little girl.

It is hard to believe that in 4 months I will have a 2 Year old! WOW!

I am already starting to gather 2nd birthday party ideas.

We will do a Shoe theme...since she has a serious addiction to shoes!

We are slowly working on potty training.

She shows interest sometimes so it is becoming a little difficult.

I hate to admit this but...she loves TV. Opps...I know!

"Don't let your toddler watch more than 2 hours of TV a day"

She will start Dance,Ballet,& Tumbling this Week!

I am sooo excited about this =)

She will get physical activity & social interaction.

As for me...

I have started watching a sweet little 6 month old on the weekdays.

It is great to have another baby in the house for Aub to play with.

It is also nice to be able to say to the Hubby

"I have to work tomorrow, you know"

I am getting a serious crafting itch!

I guess it is this time of year.

When I become a

"Football Widow"

I have been working on a few projects.

(That will be posted later)

I found a great piece this weekend that will be getting a facelift soon.

Also very excited to say that I am a proud owner of a Double stroller!

So I am going to bring the babies for a walk every morning!

Fresh Air and exercise...what could be better???

I know, chocolate and the couch...I was thinking the same thing! =)

Little Miss is 19 Months!

Aubrey learns so many new things everyday I cannot keep up! =)

As I was laying in bed last night I was trying to think of everything she has accomplished since my last post. It was a brain overload...she is just so smart! =) She amazes me everyday!

We have been pulling the spare bedroom mattress out into the living room and we have slumber party movie night. We let Aub stay up late with us and we watch fun movies! She LOVES It! She will lay in the middle with her bunnies and look at us and say " c'mon momma, c'mon dada, c'mon payge" And she will slap her hand on the bed or her leg as if to say come here.

We have been having a lot more play dates more often. I really enjoy these because Aubrey gets interaction with other kiddos and momma gets adult time!

Aubrey is also learning how to be polite. When she is through with her breakfast,lunch or dinner she says "momma, up peessse" .....over and over until I get her up & if I don't get there in time the food goes to the floor...okay so we have a lot to work on in the "polite" area =) At least she is not a picky eater! She will eat anything and everything! I am very thankful for that b/c momma and daddy are not picky eaters either.

Aub loves calling Mifi on the "bone". She will grab my phone and say "mimi"

She has been obsessed with shoes for awhile but now it is a full blown out obsession! I can't keep her out of my closet. She is always coming out of there with my heels on.

Aubrey loves her babies! But lately she has been taking the pacifier out of her baby's mouth and walking around with it in her mouth. She has never really taken a pacy. She is a full blown thumb sucker! But she is liking the fake pacy right now...

She takes direction really well. I can tell her to go to time out and she will go sit without me having to put her there. She will also put her clothes in the dirty clothes and throw away her diapers (dipeys).

Well got to get the sweet girl down for her nap! Will write more later!

The Adventurous Life of an 18 month old!

As we are in the waiting room at the doctors office Aubrey is approaching every child in the room grabbing their hands and saying "annge" (that is hands apparently) Finally, "Aubrey to A side nurses station" is called. Thankfully! Now Momma doesn't have to worry about anymore germs from the waiting room & other kids =) Time to undress, weigh and measure! 21.7 pounds, FINALLY!!! She has been under 20 pounds for the longest time. Usually a child is at 20 pounds by age one and can turn to front facing in the car seat. So at 18 months little miss is still rear facing. Ms Karen was proud we were still rear facing and said that I could keep her like that until she was 2! It is the safest way for a child to be...so Aubrey will stay that way until she is 2. Thankfully she doesn't mind it =) Then Ms Karen asked if I was journaling all of Aubrey's adventures and discoveries...ummm. I replied "No, but I take A LOT of pictures" If you know me or are a friend of mine on facebook, you know I always have a camera in my hand! Anyways, she suggested that I start writing things down because in 20 years I wont remember how I felt and what I thought at the time. So here I am blogging about my little sweet heart! I am going to TRY to keep up and write everything down so I can remember everything that makes my heart melt =)

Aubrey Love, Love, Loves her Bunnies!

She carries 2 around all of the time.

If she even spots her bunnies from across the room her thumb goes straight in her mouth.

Yes I have a thumb sucker on my hands!

I am not going to worry just yet.

Hopefully she will grow out of it.

This child loves her grandparents!

She can say Hoppie,PawPaw,Mifi& Grumpy.

But her translation is "Hoppa,Papa,Mimi,and Bumpy"

Tea parties are one of her favorite things to do.

She will grab anyone and everyone by the hand and say "Annge" then drag you to her table.

She will pour you tea and give you "bites" of her plastic food.

Her Babies are another Love of her life!

She feeds them puts them Night Night, reads to them and pushes them in the stroller.

She loves one book and one book only!

Dr. Seuss's ABC book!

She will say "A B C s"

She would be fine if I read it all day everyday.

She won't really let me read anything else...but we are trying. =)

This girl can DANCE!

She LOVes dancing to any music, especially the Imagination Movers on the Disney channel.

If music is on she will tell everyone in the room to "anncce"

"Momma,Annce" "Dada,Annce" "Ayygee,Ancce"

We have been swimming a lot.

Aubrey has a kiddy pool in the back yard and loves it.

She goes down the slide by herself and can blow bubbles in the water.

We just recently went to Branson and stayed at the Grand Country hotel which has a indoor and outdoor swim park.

Aubrey had so much fun in the toddler pool.

She wasn't scared of anything.

She jumped right in and went down all of the slides.

We are really enjoying having Daddy home right now. We have had so much good Family time lately. I am going to be sad when football starts back up full time. But I am very thankful for the time that we do get together.

Aubrey loves David so much!

He is really the BEST Dad ever!

He would do anything for her and I love him so much more for it.

Aub will eat pretty much anything we give her! I am very thankful for that because David and I love everything =)

She really loves fruit. Especially Blueberries and strawberries.

Helllo All!!!

LOTS to Catch up on!

Life has been Crazy Busy!!! =)

first...

We have really been enjoying the beautiful Spring weather!

We have tried to be outside as much as possible.

In March for spring break David, Hoppie, my Mom, Stepdad & Aubrey

went on a mini va-ca to Hot Springs =)

The Hubby & Me also got a day to our selves at the Horse Races. It was so much fun!

Lately I have turned into more of a "picker" than usual! When it gets warm the garage sales start popping up and I am the first one there!!!

I LOVE getting good deals!

I mainly shop for items to re-do then resale.

I have a booth at a local store in town and I also find myself constantly bring items to the consignment store here in town.

Anyway to make some extra money and have fun while doing it is alright with me!

Aubrey is getting so big so fast!

She is saying "Please" but it sounds more like "uuupppss" it is so cute! =)

She also likes to cock her head sideways and smile to get her way...it works with Daddy!

Valentine's Day 2010 & Here Lately

I know I know... I am just now posting my pictures from Valentine's Day! =)

Things have been REALLY busy/crazy around the Farr house.

My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer & is now in her second round of chemotheraphy.

It is so hard to watch her go through her treatments.

It is easy for her to get discouraged but I am trying my hardest to keep her spirits up and remind her that she can do it!

We just love her so much and want this terrible thing to be over quick!

Please keep her in your prayers.

The power of prayer is AMAZING!!!

We also have a house guest staying for a few weeks...

So I am missing my craft room =)

But the kitchen table works just as well!

I have gotten a lot of thrift store/flea market shopping done.

I have found some really neat things.

I cannot wait until garage sale's start popping up more...they always have the best deals!!!

~Perfect Snow Day Project~

I had been wanting some sort of Valentine's day wreath for my front door.

So I searched and searched ideas...

Finally I found one that was affordable, easy & very cute!

You can find it HERE! @Living with Lindsay.

She has a great tutorial! =)

Supplies you will need:

*Styrofoam heart ( I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $3.47)

*Fabric of your choice. ( I used a little over 1/2 a yard)

*Scissors

*Glue ( I used hot glue but you can use regular elmers)

*Pencil ( I used a mechanical pencil)

*Ribbon

First I cut up 2" squares using all of my fabric.

Then you place your pencil in the middle inside of your fabric square.

You will then place a small amount of glue on the tip & stick it down into the heart.

It is best to do small clusters all around and then go back and fill in.

I had to get a picture of the BEAUTIFUL scene outside my "craft room" window! =)

We received a little over 6 1/2" of Snow this weekend...I can not remember the last time I have seen that much snow! ( snow day pictures soon to come!)

Soon your heart will begin to take shape!

After I filled the heart with fabric I glued ribbon to the back to hang it from.

And there you have it! A perfect Snow Day project & Great Valentine's Day Wreath!

Even the Hubby Liked it! That always makes me feel proud =)

From Old to New! =)

I have wayyy too much wall space & not enough $$$ to fill it!

Sooo... I am having a Baby shower soon & I wanted the house to look tip top...

Well as "tip top" as it can be with a very very very little budget!

Well, I showed you this frame on a recent post, I got it at a thrift store for $2!

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it...

Until I remembered I had not tried the vinyl with my Cricut yet.

And lucky for me I already had the vinyl on hand! Woo Hoo!

So I bought a can of Black spray paint & there you have it!

New Wall Art!

I am VERY excited about the new inexpensive monogram art!

My Husband walked in and said, "WOW, I Love that"

That made my day... I know pathetic, right?

Anyways here it is!

I also wanted to show you what I have been doing with my thrift store finds!

I made another cake stand!

I am obsessed with making cake stands now! =)

~Most Recent Make-Overs~

I had a mirror sitting in my garage that was given to me. I used it but I didn't want it in my house because it was not very attractive =) So I figured I would paint it! I first painted the mirror with blue spray paint. Then I sanded it down to age it a bit. After that I used brown paint in various places then wiped it to look distressed. I liked the outcome a lot! But my booth was getting empty (which is a GREAT thing) =) and I thought I would sell it!

Here are the Before & After Pictures!

I had been looking for a cute Valentine's Day pillow but didn't want to pay a fortune!

Then I remembered seeing a plain red pillow at wal-mart on sale for $5

I went back to Wal-Mart & got the pillow! I came back home and found some scrap fabric.

I Pulled out my Cricut & cut a Heart using zebra fabric and iron on backing.

Then I found a sequins heart I got on clearance last year after Valentine's Day for .50.

I ironed them both on and got a cute little Valentine's Day pillow for $5.50!

~From Cabinet Door to Baby Gift~

Last Monday before I left work I noticed my boss had some cabinet doors in the back room.

I asked her if she would be interested in selling them to me.

She said "oh, no I was just going to throw them away"

So of course I loaded them up right then and there!

This is what I came home with!!!

I think I hit the jack pot!

& It was all FREE!!!

My plans are to make chalkboards and signs with vinyl lettering.

I am so excited to see what I can come up with!

Which brings me to my first project with a cabinet door!

I had a baby shower on Saturday and I couldn't decide what I wanted

to get for a gift.

I thought I wanted to make something...but what?

After throwing a few ideas around with my great craft/play date friend,

I remembered the cabinet doors!

First I decided to add some blue & brown paint to the already stained cabinet door.

Right after I painted it I wiped it down with a paper towel to give it a distressed look.

Then I painted a wooden letter 'J' blue and put brown polka dots on it.

After painting the 'J' I let it dry & glued it to the center of the cabinet door with

Epoxy glue. Then I attached the ribbon to the top of the cabinet and tied a bow!

And TAdA! A sweet little initial sign for baby Jake's Room!

And here is the Mommy to Be with her new gift!

So Excited to make more fun projects with my cabinet doors!!!

~Easy & Inexpensive Cake Stand~

I came across this Idea on a blog and now I can't find it =(

I knew when I saw it that I had to try it out!

I went searching for plates and stands last friday in all of the thrift stores around town.

I found some that I really liked and put a few together to make a cake stand.

I really wish I could find the blog where I once saw this Idea because

I would love to link back to it.

(If you have seen this somewhere let me know so I can give credit where credit is due!)

Anyways, All I did was find a plate and an old candle holder that matched or had coordinating colors. Then I used Epoxy* Glue from the hardware section at Wal-Mart to glue the two pieces together.

Quick, simple & very inexpensive!

I think all in all this cost me $1.50.

This would make a GREAT house warming or wedding gift!

I am planning on making a lot more so I will post as I go!

Friday Thrift Store Shopping!

I was so very excited to wake up Friday morning to go "shopping".

I took my $16 dollars I won from my Lottery ticket and went to town!

I stopped at a couple of different places and got some GREAT Deals!

I prefer to go yard selling to thrift store shopping

because the deals are so much better.

But...

I had some projects that I wanted to get done now

and it is still a little chilly to have yard sales.

My goal for the day was to find cute candle sticks and plates to make cake stands.

I found some I really liked and already made two cake stands with my finds!

(I will post pictures later!)

Anyways here are some more pictures of my great finds! I will post what I transform them into as I go!

Blah to Fabulous ~Vanity Stool Make-Over~

Last August I opened a booth at a Local store in town.

I initially wanted to just sell my Bows & Tutus

but my space was big enough to carry

furniture and decorative items.

So from that point I didn't have a whole lot of extra money

to throw into it because we just moved.

I began collecting things from family & friends

and shopping around at local garage sales.

I have been in LOVE with freebies & good deals

ever since I got my first paycheck!

Buying something at a yard sale for .50 cents

& selling it for $10.00 is the greatest feeling!

From that point it gets very addicting!

At first I would just buy something that I thought was cute

& put it in my booth to sell.

Now that I have entered into the blogging world,

I have been so excited to pull everything out of my booth

& give it new life!

Here is my first rebirth!!!

My Grandmother gave this vanity chair to me last august to put into my booth.

It has been sitting there ever since on sale for $15.

No takers...

I don't blame them...it is kind of sad =)

but with a $3.00 Can of Spray paint, a staple gun & some fabric

I had leftover from Christmas...

I got a Cute little Vanity Stool!

I am going to put it back in my booth for a Valentines display...

hopefully it will sell this time around!

Notebook Makeover!

My Husband was making a quick run to the grocery store to pick up some milk,

so I asked him to pick me up a notebook.

No instruction, just a notebook.

He should be able to read my mind, Right? Ha!

I was picturing this cute little notebook where

I could write all of my thoughts, ideas & lists down.

Because I have just begun blogging,

I needed some kind of organization in my thoughts

& sticky notes where just not doing the job anymore.

So, the hubby came home

and in his dollar store bag was

the most boring black and white notebook with the letters

-Composition-

on the front.

I was very disappointed.

It was not what I had envisioned...No hearts, no polka dots or even flowers!

So later that night after we got our sweet little angel to bed,

I got the computer out and began my nightly

"Blog Stalking"

(as my hubby calls it)

I came across a really fun blog, All Things Heart & Home here! >

She had the exact same notebook that she covered and made beautiful

with a little Mod-Podge & Scrapbook Paper!

~A Cricut/ ModPodge Kinda Day~

I finally unpacked my Cricut after having it for TWO Weeks!

I can't believe I waited that lOnG

But...

with a One Year Old

Life is in FAST Forward!

I still have not made it to a craft store. *sad face*

BUT I was able to dig up some fun again.

It is amazing what you can find in the bottom of a plastic tub =)

First I found a Blank Craft Frame I got at Hobby Lobby for $1.50 during Christmas.

Then I got out my handy dandy cricut!

I printed out Hearts & "Valentine's Day" saying

with my left over scrapbook paper, mainly from Christmas.

It feels so good to use up all of my old stuff!

Even though shopping for NEW stuff is my FAVORITE thing to do!

Then Time for my FAV, Mod Podge!

I glued paper to the front of the frame.

The picture frame part was the hardest to cover...

Hopefully one day I will find an easier way to do this

but for now...this is whatcha get =)

Then I got Tissue Paper and covered the front of the frame.

I LOVE using tissue paper & Mod-Podge...It gives your project a great texture!

After the Tissue is on I begin decorating the front with

scrapbook paper.

After attaching some Ribbon, Wooden Heart & Button

All Done!

New Year, New Bows!

I have been making Hair-bows for about a year now.

I have struggled finding a technique that I like.

My bows were always really flat and not as attractive as I had seen in some boutiques.

I FINALLY found a way to make them the way I have been wanting!

WOo HoO!

So, Since I have figured it out I have been BoW Crazy!!!

Snow Daze

We Really enjoyed our Christmas break with daddy being home for a whole 2 weeks! Then we got a Huge Surprise...SNOW DAZE! Meaning "Dada" would be home for two more days due to poor road conditions! We had some great FAMILY time. I Love Snow and I Love quality time with my Husband and Daughter even More!

This was Aubrey's First Snow!

We Bundled her up in her Hat and Gloves,

brought her out to play for a few minutes and she really enjoyed it =)

I LOVE This Picture of her Cute Little Foot-prints next to her Dads =)

The Snow was beautiful but all Melted away two days after it came...We are supposed to get more tonight! Bring it On! I would LOVE to have the Hubby home two more days!

For a "Craftier" 2010!!!

I was beyond excited to receive my presents from "Santa"(aka: Mom & Stepdad) this year!!!

First of all I LOVE taking pictures! And when you have a 1 year old there are plenty of pictures to be taken. It gets really expensive to get professional pictures taken, so I have been hinting around that I need a good quality camera to take my own professional quality photographs. Well, Needless to say Santa took the hint & a great camera was wrapped under the tree with my name on it =)

Second, I received a CRICUT! I am so excited to use my cricut for various crafts! I have been blog searching for days. I can't wait to share all of my fun cricut projects with you all!

Christmas with all of our family & friends was so wonderful. I feel so Blessed to have so many great people in my life. Aubrey was so much fun this year. Considering last year she was only 4 days old on Christmas. She ran down the hall to see what Santa brought, unwrapped all of her gifts, and really enjoyed playing with everything! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I hope Blessings come your way for 2010! Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Celebrations!

Aubrey had a Pageant on Dec 12 in Heber Springs. She won Most Beautiful & Overall QUEEN!!! =) She was sooo Cute on Stage. She just lit up! She was blowing Kisses, waving, & Dancing! I was so shocked! I was glad she enjoyed it so much. Here are a few pictures of the pageant! Enjoy!

A Polka Dot 1st Birthday!

About a Month before Aubrey turned One I started planning her birthday Party. I considered many different themes but when I came across some polka dot plates I fell in Love while also finding the theme for the Party!

Next, I found these SUPER Cute Balloons on Ebay. The balloons were probably my favorite decoration. They were just so unique and made such a great statement!

Then I ordered the Invitations! (after waiting until we knew Daddy wasn't going to be in the play offs that day!) I LOVE this Company! They were all about making me happy with the invite! I will be using them again in the future!

Make Room for the CAKE!!!

Yum! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cake Lady! =) She also made our Wedding Cakes. She is VERY reasonable and the cake is so yummy! I Sent her a picture of what I was thinking and she came up with this BEAUTIFUL creation. Aubrey and the Guest enjoyed it very much.

The "Main" Table

Of course the Cake was the Main Centerpiece. Around the Cake I added a Collage of pictures from Aubrey's first year. I spotted a polka dot birthday picture frame in downtown Heber, that held the Birthday Invitation perfectly. I deco-podged two buckets in polka dot scrapbook paper and photos of Aubrey. One held Party favors and the other held the eating utensils!

My Lovely Husband hung streamers and colorful lanterns from ceiling.

The Snack Table

I found a piece of scrap fabric that I had in my craft room and draped a small folding table with it. We hung lanterns and balloons over the table. I used a photo of Aubrey as the Centerpiece for this table =)

I made a banner that said "Happy Birthday" with scrapbook paper! It was really cute, I wish I would have gotten a close up =)

The Birthday Hat!

I covered a paper hat in fabric and had a friend embroider an "1" & Aubrey on a piece of fabric. I cut it out as a Big Polka dot and attached it. To finish I added some pink boa to the top and bottom!

To end the Party we Played a Slide Show for our Guest of Aubrey's First year!

It was a Wonderful first Birthday!

I LOVE Having a Craft Play-date with a Great Friend on Tuesdays & Fridays! It gives me a set time to get my Looong list of projects done. This past week I worked on Hairbows for my Booth, Aubrey's UCA Pillowcase Dress, & Aub's Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bucket. I tried Mod-Podging for the first time! It turned out Wonderfully! It is very easy to use & Aub has a unique 1st Halloween Trick-or-Treat Bucket!

Fall is Absolutely my Favorite Time of the Year! I have continued to add Fall Decorations around the House for the Last couple of Weeks! I love the Fall colors and the Smell of my Pumpkin Spice Candle! I made a wreath for our front door, decorated my coffee table, & Entry Table. The House is So Warm & Cozy with the added Decorations!

I Finally Ordered the Little Cupcake's Pageant Dress Today! We Ordered the dress in the picture but in Blue!(To Match her Baby Blues) I can not wait to get it in! The Pageant is November 7th so we still have a while to prepare. I am so relieved that I finally settled on a dress and It will be here in about a week!
